Estrace Vaginal Cream is used for the treatment of vaginal symptoms of menopause such as dryness, painful intercourse, and other disorders affecting vagina. It contains estrogen which belongs to a class of drugs known as estrogen blockers. It works by stopping the production of oestrogen which causes the vagina to dry out. The main action of estradiol cream is to relieve the vagina symptoms by keeping the vagina slightly dry.

Dosage and direction
Take one 1 g tube of estradiol cream, every 4 to 6 hours, for 5 to 7 days. If symptoms persist or get worse, consult a doctor. If the symptoms are not completely disappear, see your doctor.
Precautions
This is a generic drug. It is prescribed only for you. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you have any allergies to this or any other generic or brand of estradiol cream drug.

vision changes Vaginal discharge If you experience any of the side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical attention.Dizziness If you are thirsty or sleepy after taking this medicine. Do not use this medicine more often than directed. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure if you are taking any medicine for children. This medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
Anaemia If you are afebrile (lives 28 or less days after giving up on cycle) and taking this medicine. Do not use this medicine at about the same time as you started. Tell your doctor if you have not already done so. Do not use this medicine for more than 2 cycles. Do not use this medicine for it to be harmful to others. This medicine has not been studied for use in women. Seek medical attention if you experience severe or persistent allergic reactions after taking this medicine. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicine for the first six months of pregnancy, if you are taking warfarin, if you are taking aspirin, if you are taking warfarin, if you are taking warfarin or other medicines for the first seven days of your period (a few days before or after your period), if you are taking digoxin (a medicine used to treat heart disease), if you are taking probenecid (a medicine used to treat high cholesterol), if you are taking probenecid or an antipsychotic medicine (such as atypical anti-diabetic). This may cause serious side effects such as skin reaction.
Heart rhythm Problems This medicine may make your blood pressure drop worse. Before you start this medicine, talk to your doctor. Check with your doctor if you have any other health problems that affect your blood pressure.
Breast Problems This medicine may make your breast more sensitive to the effects of estrogens. Do not use this medicine if you are breast-feeding. Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the medicines for the first six months of pregnancy, if you are taking a medicine for irregular heartbeats (such as digoxin or aspirin) or if you are taking any other medicines. This medicine may make your blood sugar more sensitive to the effects of diabetes, especially when used along with estrogens. Check with your doctor if you have any other health problems that affect your blood sugar.
Jaundice If you experience any side effect such as vomiting, abdominal pain, or discomfort after taking this medicine, do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how this medicine affects you. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the medicines for the first six months of pregnancy, if you are taking any medicine for children. This medicine may cause serious side effects such as skin reaction.

Get medical help right away if you have any serious side effects, including: chest/jaw/left arm pain, unusual sweating, sudden/severe headache, weakness on one side of the body, confusion, trouble speaking, sudden vision changes (such as partial/complete blindness), pain/redness/swelling of legs, tingling/weakness/numbness in the arms/legs, trouble breathing, coughing up blood, sudden dizziness/fainting. A very serious allergic reaction to this product is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
